Duxford trip
As part of our World War II topic, Year 6 visited Duxford Air Museum.
It was a great day. The children enjoyed looking at and reading about all of the planes. They now know lots of interesting facts to use during our topic.
The children have written a review of their day;
On Friday the 16th of June, year 6 went on a trip to Duxford. We admired the planes that flew during WWII; we also did some hands on activities as well. Our favourite time was when we saw the Concord, Messerschmitt, Spitfire, Hurricane, Blackbird and many more. We found out what it was like to live in The Battle of Britain where if a loud siren went off people would run down to their bomb shelter underground- hopefully to survive the air raids.
