Updated Valued Behaviour Policy and Renewed GCA Way

At the end of last term, we shared our updated Valued Behaviour Policy and our renewed GCA Way with parents and carers. These documents reflect our continued commitment to creating a calm, respectful and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Rooted in our core values of Kindness and Hard Work, the GCA Way sets out the behaviours and attitudes we expect to see every day across our school. Alongside this, our Valued Behaviour Policy explains how we support children to meet these expectations in a fair, consistent and compassionate way.
Our approach is underpinned by Cambridgeshire Therapeutic Thinking, which focuses on understanding behaviour, building positive relationships and helping children to reflect, repair and learn from difficulties. This ensures that behaviour is managed with empathy and high expectations, supporting pupils’ wellbeing as well as their learning.
Together, the renewed GCA Way and Valued Behaviour Policy provide a clear, shared framework for pupils, staff and families, helping us work in partnership to support positive behaviour, strong character and successful learning.
We encourage families to take time to read both documents, which are available on our website.
