We have a newly elected committee of eager councillors who meet regularly with Mr. Smith.
Why do we have a School's Council?
The School's Council is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get more involved in the way the school is run. The School Council benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers, because it provides opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings as well as influence decisions that are made. Effectively, pupils have a voice and strong input into school life.
During our first meeting we agreed a set of ground rules on how we were going to run our meetings and discuss ideas fairly.
- We will be polite.
- We will listen.
- We will not talk at the same time as others.
- We will respect the opinions of others.
Every few weeks we will update our web page to let you know what we have been doing.
Our First Project
We are presently finding out how pupils think we can improve the school buildings and playground in terms of artwork.
