Curriculum
At Godmanchester Community Academy, our curriculum is designed to help every child gain and grow their knowledge, develop important skills, and build a genuine love of learning.
Children enjoy a broad and balanced curriculum that includes English, maths, science, computing, history, geography, art, design and technology, music, PE, languages, and World Views, alongside regular opportunities for personal, social, and emotional development.
Learning in each subject is carefully sequenced so that new knowledge builds on what pupils have already learned. We make sure children revisit key ideas regularly, helping them to remember more and make lasting connections between subjects.
Our lessons are designed to spark curiosity and interest, encouraging children to ask questions, think critically, and apply what they know in different situations. As they move through the school, pupils have many chances to showcase their knowledge and skills — through writing, art, performances, presentations, and practical projects.
By the time children leave Godmanchester Community Academy, they are confident, curious learners who are ready for the next stage of their education — with a strong foundation of knowledge, well-practised skills, and an enthusiasm for learning that will last a lifetime.
